Role DescriptionThe Team Support staff member will work one-on-one and in small groups with students to promote growth in academic skills, including fine motor development, as well as social and emotional development. Responsible for assisting the classroom teacher with art activities, science experiments, student portfolios, and general daily classroom tasks, ensuring a well-organized and engaging learning environment for all students. This position supports a faith-centered, play-based learning environment that fosters social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.
All staff members are expected to comply with the policies, practices, and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook. Team Support staff must also meet and maintain the current standards and guidelines established by the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services in the Minimum Standard Rules for Licensed Child-Care Centers, ensuring a safe, compliant, and high-quality learning environment for all students.
QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field such as nutrition, social work, psychology, or sociology preferred. Prior teaching or classroom experience with young children strongly desired. Candidates should demonstrate a genuine love for young children, strong teamwork skills, and a commitment to creating a joyful, structured, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
- Part‑Time
- Monday–Thursday, 8:30 AM–2:30 PM (days vary by age‑level assignment)
- August 1, 2026 – May 14, 2027
- Starting Hourly Pay: $20
Eligible part‑time employees receive:
- Paid personal/sick leave based on number of days worked per week, with one additional day awarded every five years of service (up to 20 years)
