Adjunct Professor, Interpreter Education Program; Pool

Job Summary

Responsible to prepare and deliver coursework in engaging, innovative, and discipline‑appropriate ways that reflect a commitment to the college's core values, an understanding of culturally responsive teaching, and knowledge of the teaching field. Meet professional standards for faculty in accordance with college policies and procedures.

• Teach courses per the approved course descriptions and syllabi established by the Division faculty.
• Teaching assignments may be held on one or more of the college's campuses or off‑site locations, and may include evening and weekend programs. No online instruction is offered at this time. Dual Credit courses may be assigned.
• Perform supplemental functions and other duties as assigned by the associate dean/director.
• Maintain all standards in accordance with college policies, procedures, and core values.

Work is predominantly sedentary with occasional exertion up to 10 pounds. Tasks include sitting, preparing materials, standing, walking, and repetitive motions. The work environment is an office setting with minimal physical effort.

• Associate’s degree in the discipline or qualifying field.
• Either a Board for Evaluation of Interpreters (BEI) Advanced Level certification or a Registration for Interpreters (RID) certification / National Interpreter Certification (NIC).
• Security Sensitive position; candidates will be subject to a criminal background check.

Part‑time position. Compensation is at adjunct faculty/CE instructor rates.
