Responsible to prepare and deliver coursework in engaging, innovative, and discipline-appropriate ways that reflect a commitment to the college's core values, an understanding of culturally responsive teaching, and knowledge of the teaching field. Meet professional standards for faculty in accordance with college policies and procedures. This position requires on‑ground, in‑person work at a campus or other location of Collin College; remote or telecommuting arrangements are not permitted except under specific statutory exceptions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Teach courses in accordance with the schedule of classes and follow the approved course descriptions and syllabi established by the Division faculty and administered by the associate dean/director.
- Teaching assignments may be on one or more of the college's campuses or off‑site locations and may include evening and weekend programs. Collin College is not hiring for online instruction at this time.
- May include Dual Credit courses.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with college policies, procedures and core values.
Sedentary work – excering up to 10 pounds occasionally, negligible force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other “sedentary” criteria are met. Positions in this class typically include talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions, plus stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.
Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards, office environment, little physical effort required.
Master’s Degree in business or a Master’s degree in any discipline with at least 18 hours in the discipline/qualifying field to include a minimum of six graduate hours of statistical analysis that may be taken from business statistics, business analytics, mathematical statistics, actuarial science, operations research, economics or social science analytics courses. Teaching experience is desired.
