• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Biology, Science Education, or a closely‑related field.
• Valid Pennsylvania instructional certificate in science – e.g., Instructional I or equivalent, with endorsement in Biology (Grades 7‑12) or Middle Level Science.

• Plan, prepare, and deliver biology (and middle school science) lessons aligned with Pennsylvania state standards.
• Design and supervise laboratory investigations, experiments, and hands‑on activities to reinforce biological concepts.
• Assess student learning regularly (quizzes, tests, lab reports), monitor progress, and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Maintain classroom management, establish a safe and inclusive science learning environment, including proper use/care of labs and equipment.
• Communicate with parents/guardians and collaborate with colleagues, and maintain accurate records of student achievement, attendance, and behavior.
