Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Educator, Alpha - $100,000/year USD

Students may forget the specifics of each lesson, but they never forget the adult who truly believed in their potential. That defines this role. Alpha students complete their academic work in just two hours daily through adaptive learning technology. This structure allows Guides to dedicate their energy to what transforms lives: cultivating confidence, resilience, communication skills, and the drive to embrace difficult challenges.

Your day won’t involve standing at the front delivering traditional lessons. Instead, you’ll coach students through obstacles, acknowledge their successes, and demonstrate what rigorous standards look like when combined with authentic support.

Your day will include working with a single K-3 cohort band—either Kindergarten-1st grade or 2nd-3rd grade. Approximately half your time will be devoted to facilitating dynamic one‑hour workshops focused on life skills such as public speaking, concentration, and constructive feedback. The remaining time is dedicated to individual and small‑group coaching, leveraging learning analytics to ensure every child progresses toward challenging weekly objectives.

Each interaction carries weight, and students should emerge from your workshops with enhanced capabilities and leave coaching sessions convinced they can accomplish more than they previously believed.

This position is not designed for someone seeking to deliver standard curriculum or oversee a traditional classroom. It’s intended for someone who finds fulfillment in motivating young learners, values measurable progress, and understands that the right coach can fundamentally alter a child’s path. If you’ve energized children as a teacher, coach, camp counselor, youth mentor, or performer, you’ll discover an entirely different type of learning environment here.

This is a full‑time, on‑site position at an Alpha campus. We conduct nationwide recruitment, so job listings may appear in neighbouring cities without an immediate campus location.

Current opportunities at this salary level are located in Scottsdale, AZ;
Oklahoma City and Tulsa, OK;
Nashville, TN;
Austin, Georgetown, Dallas, Plano, Fort Worth, and Houston, TX; and Park City (Salt Lake City area), UT.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Facilitate dynamic life‑skills workshops that enable K‑3 students to develop communication, concentration, feedback skills, and other enduring competencies through hands‑on engagement rather than passive instruction.
  • Provide one‑on‑one and small‑group coaching, utilizing Coachbot analytics and validated motivation frameworks to ensure every child remains aligned with challenging weekly learning targets.
  • Evaluate life‑skill proficiency using Alpha’s Test2

    Pass system, coaching students until they exhibit genuine mastery—not merely attendance or effort.
  • Tailor your coaching approach to match the developmental stage of your cohort, incorporating songs, physical movement, and narrative for younger students or emphasizing greater autonomy and responsibility for older learners.
  • Cultivate relationships where students feel sufficiently supported to push beyond their perceived limitations.
What You Won’t Be Doing
  • Delivering academic instruction from the front of the room. Students complete academics via adaptive software.
  • Developing curriculum independently. You’ll refine and customize established playbooks rather than creating lessons from the ground up.
  • Supervising students as they work quietly on devices. Your function is active coaching, encouragement, and interpersonal engagement.
  • Reducing standards when students encounter difficulty. Growth results from supporting students to meet the goal, not adjusting the goal downward.
  • Overseeing homework, grading assignments, or conducting routine parent correspondence.
