College and Young Adult Pastor

Job Description:

Young Adults Pastor Purpose of the Job

To serve the vision of Grace Church and Grace Young Adults (GYA) by way of young adult life, leadership development, community building, and pastoral care.

• Consistent involvement with the unique pastoral, relational, and spiritual needs of young adults
• Systematic team building and leadership development
• Ability to communicate vision dynamically and contextually to a post-Christian or searching generation
• Proficient in Office 365 and Microsoft Outlook, and willing/able to learn new church management software and communication platforms
• Strong leadership and administrative experience
• Must be energetic and able to sit or stand for long lengths of time during services, events, and retreats

• Gatherings, Content & Events: Plan relevant teaching, coordinate event logistics, and design weekly environments (including life group curriculum) where young adults can gather, worship, and build community.
• Outreach, Connection & Media: Build relationships on local campuses and in workplaces, follow up warmly with new guests, and manage mid-week social media channels to keep everyone connected.
• Leadership & Pastoral Care: Recruit and mentor young adult volunteers for ministry teams while providing relational support, prayer, and guidance through key life transitions.
• Church-Wide Support: Remain flexible and ready to assist other Grace Church ministries or projects as directed by the Lead or Executive Pastor.
