Position: Early Childhood Specialist, Alpha - $100,000/year USD

The lessons children learn may fade, but the adult who believed in them never does. That's what this role is about.

At Alpha, academics are completed in just two hours daily through adaptive learning technology. This structure allows Guides to concentrate on the work that transforms lives: fostering confidence, resilience, communication skills, and the drive to embrace difficult challenges. You won't stand at the front delivering lessons. Instead, you'll coach students through obstacles, acknowledge their victories, and demonstrate what high expectations look like when combined with authentic belief.

You’ll guide one K‑3 cohort band—either Kindergarten‑1st grade or 2nd‑3rd grade. Half your time is dedicated to facilitating dynamic, one‑hour workshops on essential life skills such as public speaking, concentration, and receiving feedback. The remaining half involves coaching students both individually and in small groups, leveraging learning analytics to ensure every child progresses toward challenging weekly objectives. Every moment counts. Students should emerge from your workshops more skilled than when they entered and leave coaching sessions convinced they can accomplish more than they previously imagined.

This position isn’t suited for someone seeking to deliver curriculum or oversee a traditional classroom. It’s designed for someone who enjoys inspiring young children, excels with measurable results, and believes the right coach can alter a child’s path. If you’ve motivated kids as a teacher, coach, camp counselor, youth leader, or performer, you’ll discover a distinctly different kind of classroom environment here.

This is a full‑time, on‑site position at one of Alpha’s campuses. We recruit nationally, so job boards may show this opportunity in nearby cities that lack a campus.

Current openings for this salary tier are available in Scottsdale, AZ;
Oklahoma City and Tulsa, OK;
Nashville, TN;
Austin, Georgetown, Dallas, Plano, Fort Worth, and Houston, TX; and Park City (Salt Lake City area), UT.

If you’re interested in another Alpha campus, apply regardless and indicate your preferred location—we’ll consider you for the appropriate opening.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Facilitate dynamic life‑skills workshops that enable K‑3 students to develop communication, focus, feedback, and other enduring skills through active engagement rather than traditional lectures.
  • Provide one‑on‑one and small‑group coaching, utilizing Coachbot analytics, established motivation systems, and robust relationships to ensure every child remains on track for challenging weekly learning objectives.
  • Evaluate life‑skill proficiency through Alpha’s Test2

    Pass framework, coaching students until they exhibit genuine understanding—not merely participation.
  • Adjust your coaching approach to match the developmental requirements of your cohort, whether that involves songs, movement, and storytelling for younger learners or increased independence and accountability for older students.
  • Cultivate the types of relationships where students feel sufficiently supported to push beyond what they believed they could accomplish.
What You Won’t Be Doing
  • Delivering academic lessons from a whiteboard. Students complete academics using adaptive software.
  • Creating curriculum from the ground up. You’ll refine and personalize proven playbooks rather than designing lessons from scratch.
  • Observing students work quietly on computers. Your role involves active coaching, motivation, and meaningful connection.
  • Reducing expectations when students face difficulties. Success is achieved by helping students meet the goal, not by lowering the goal.
  • Overseeing homework, grading assignments, or handling standard parent communication.
