Responsible to prepare and deliver coursework in engaging, innovative, and discipline-appropriate ways that reflect a commitment to the college's core values, an understanding of culturally responsive teaching, and knowledge of the teaching field. Meet professional standards for faculty in accordance with college policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Teach courses in accordance with the schedule of classes and follow the approved course descriptions and syllabi established by the Division faculty and administered by the associate dean/director.
- Teaching assignments may be on one or more of the college's campuses or off-site locations and may include evening and weekend programs.
- May include Dual Credit courses.
- Perform other duties as assigned and maintain all standards in accordance with college policies, procedures and core values.

- In accordance with Texas Education Code §51.992, this position is designated for in-person work at a campus or other location of Collin College.
- Remote or telecommuting arrangements are not permitted except under specific circumstances defined by law, including temporary illness, approved distance education assignments, or other narrow statutory exceptions.
- All candidates should expect to perform duties on-site. Candidates are also encouraged to review this in‑person requirement and reach out with any questions if further clarification is needed.
Sedentary work – exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and lightweight lifting or moving. Requires sitting most of the time, with occasional walking and standing. The work environment is an office environment with minimal physical effort.
Requirements- Master’s degree in Music or a Master’s degree in any discipline with at least 18 graduate hours in discipline/qualifying field(s) to include at least 9 graduate hours in applied area.
- Instruction in applied cello lessons.
- Security Sensitive – candidates will be subject to a criminal background check. If selected for a dual credit course(s), an additional background check requiring fingerprinting with the TX DPS will be required.
Part‑time, compensated at adjunct faculty and CE instructor rates.
