Assistant Director, Childcare Center

Are you a passionate early childhood education professional with a proven track record in classroom management and teacher development? Lightbridge Academy of Plano is seeking a dedicated Assistant Director to join our leadership team and help guide our teachers and students toward success. As an Assistant Director, you will:

• Assist the Center Director in daily operations and overall center management
• Provide support to teaching staff with effective classroom management strategies and continuous improvement
• Lead teacher onboarding, mentorship, and ongoing training programs
• Support curriculum implementation to ensure consistency, quality, and developmental alignment across classrooms
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor staff progress and identify areas for improvement
• Manage the ordering and inventory of classroom materials and supplies
• Ensure all state licensing, health, and safety regulations are met consistently and ensure complete documentation as required by Texas HHS licensing
• Foster a "learning is fun" environment by implementing the Lightbridge Academy program and Seedlings curriculum
• Uphold discretion in dealing with all confidential matters and information
• Maintain proper ratios and substitute in classrooms as needed
• Support all team members by example and provide mentoring and coaching
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of children and staff members
• Observe all Lightbridge Academy policies and procedures
• Assumes responsibility to manage operation of the school in the Center Director's absence
• Assists the Center Director with the necessary management responsibilities to ensure maximum enrollment and effective cost control to generate profitability
• Knowledge of and adheres to employment laws and compliance issues related to those laws
• Build strong relationships with families, staff, and children to foster a positive and inclusive school environment
• Plan, coordinate, and execute internal and external events, including parent engagement activities and community outreach
• Provide a WOW customer experience to all in our Circle of Care (Children, Staff, Parents, Community, Owners)
• Build community relationships and enrollment through participation in local area marketing and execution of open houses and other marketing events

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field required
• 3-5 years of prior experience in childcare as an Assistant Director / Education Director / Management experience is a plus
• CDA certification preferred
• Completion of CPR and First Aid certification required
• Previous experience in education administration or child care management preferred
• Social Media Marketing expertise
• Experience working with students of various ages and backgrounds
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage childcare operations
• Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of CRM systems
