Educational Diagnostician Special Education Teacher in Plano, TX

Looking to take the next step in your career as an Educational Diagnostician? A full-time contract opportunity is available for the 2026–2027 school year in the Plano, TX area. This onsite role supports an itinerant assignment, potentially between two campuses, and offers the chance to provide impactful evaluation services for K–12 students.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations and reevaluations for K–12 students
• Attend Student Support Team (SST) meetings pre-referral and ARD meetings to review evaluation results
• Prepare detailed evaluation reports and maintain all required documentation
• Collaborate closely with campus administrators, special education staff, teachers, related service providers, and families to support student success
• Ensure adherence to state and district special education timelines and regulatory procedures
• Effectively manage an itinerant schedule across multiple assigned sites

Preferred

Skills and Experience:

• Current, active Texas Educational Diagnostician Certification (required)
• Experience in a school-based educational diagnostician role strongly preferred
• Familiarity with evaluation processes for K–12 students
• In-depth knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and Texas special education policies
• Strong abilities in report writing, organization, communication, and time management
• Willingness and ability to commute between campuses with dependable transportation
