Position Overview
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a highly motivated Process Engineer to support operations and maintenance activities for advanced ultra-pure water (UPW) systems. This role provides hands-on technical expertise across process optimization, system design, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of water quality, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
- Process Optimization: Analyze, evaluate, and improve ultra-pure water processes to enhance efficiency, reliability, and compliance with quality standards
- Technical Troubleshooting: Provide advanced process-level support, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
- Documentation & Compliance: Develop, maintain, and update process documentation, SOPs, and technical specifications
- Process Design: Create and maintain process specifications, P&IDs, mass balances, sequences of operation, and functional logic for water treatment systems
- Project Support: Collaborate with automation, commissioning, innovation, sales, and procurement teams on system upgrades, modifications, and new technology implementations
- Training & Knowledge Sharing: Support O&M engineers and technicians through process training, documentation, and best-practice guidance
- Safety Compliance: Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures, standards, and regulations
- Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support operational objectives
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Solid understanding of industrial process systems, preferably within water or wastewater treatment environments
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited institution
- Up to three (3) years of related professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant technical experience
Travel Requirements
- Ability to travel on a case-by-case basis to support projects, troubleshooting, training, or other operational needs at additional site
