Job SummaryThe Senior Scheduler is responsible for creating and managing construction schedules using Primavera Project Planning (P6) or ASTA Power Projects software, coordinating project reporting, managing resource requirements, and providing three-week look-ahead schedules and other schedule updates. This position will also perform schedule analysis, progress reporting, and time-impact/change impact analysis.
Essential Functions- Develop, monitor, and update project schedules to ensure efficient project execution.
- Prepare baseline and proposal schedules for review and approval.
- Analyze critical and near-critical paths and report potential impacts.
- Review subcontractor and vendor schedules for logic, accuracy, and compliance.
- Perform job-site walks to verify progress and support schedule updates.
- Prepare progress reports, trending charts, and schedule variance analyses.
- Support change order analysis and resource loading as needed.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior planners.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Skills & Experience- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Scheduler on water/wastewater or heavy/highway construction projects (structures, bridges, underground, earthwork, and concrete paving).
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 or ASTA Power Projects is required.
- Strong prioritization and organizational skills; detail-oriented.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Excel and Word.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexibility with relocation for assigned projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar discipline is preferred.
- Field operations experience is strongly preferred.
