We are seeking a Network QA Engineer (4G/5G) – IODT Test Engineer to support Interop (IODT) testing with device chipset vendors/partners for new feature validation, system/performance analysis, and end-to-end testing of 4G/5G RAN products
. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with wireless protocol layers and lab-based testing.
- Perform Interop (IODT) testing with device chipset vendors/partners for new feature validation and performance analysis.
- Execute IODT test cases in lab environments
, create test reports, and present results to customers. - Analyze product and feature requirements and convert them into system-level test cases
. - Support performance evaluation of new product and software releases.
- Perform detailed analysis of 4G/5G wireless protocol logs
. - Troubleshoot and analyze issues found during testing and validation.
- Ensure customer commitments are met according to project timelines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Strong understanding of wireless systems, specifically PHY, MAC, RLC, RRC, and PDCP layers
. - Bachelor’s Degree is required with 8–10 years of directly related experience (Master’s degree with 6+ years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of 4G/5G air interface
, call processing technologies, and RAN architecture
. - Experience in system testing including:
- Feature validation
- Parameter optimization
- Performance analysis
- Experience with 3
GPP Release activities is a plus.
- Hands-on experience in Lab Testing / IODT Testing
. - Understanding of IOT technologies including eMTC, NB-IOT
, and interfaces like S1 & X2
. - Experience with EMS systems
, network element management, software upgrades, and MOP verification. - Knowledge of 3
GPP Core and RAN networks
. - Understanding of both HW and SW architecture
. - Exposure to software development is beneficial.
