As a RAN Optimization Engineer, you will work at the forefront of modern wireless networks, supporting live 4G and 5G deployments for a major telecom environment. You will be responsible for analyzing network performance, identifying optimization opportunities, and improving KPIs across LTE and s. The role requires solid understanding of RAN architecture, RF fundamentals, and protocol interfaces, combined with hands‑on operational expertise.
You will collaborate with RF, core, and field teams to troubleshoot issues and implement optimization strategies that enhance user experience. This is a fast‑paced, technically challenging role offering exposure to cutting‑edge 5G networks.
- Analyze and optimize 4G LTE and 5G performance and KPIs
- Troubleshoot RAN issues across eNB/gNB and related interfaces
- Apply optimization techniques to improve coverage, capacity, and quality
- Work with RF and engineering teams on network tuning and performance improvements
- Interpret network logs, counters, and traces for fault isolation
- Support live network operations and performance enhancement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with performance targets and service quality standards
- Strong knowledge of 4G and 5G wireless network architecture concepts
- Solid understanding of RAN protocols and eNB/gNB interfaces
- Good knowledge of RF concepts and radio performance parameters
- Experience with IP Networking fundamentals
- Working knowledge of UNIX/LINUX operating systems
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work effectively in fast‑paced, carrier‑grade environments
- Hands‑on experience with major OEM RAN equipment (Ericsson, Nokia, Samsung, Huawei)
- Experience with network performance tools and counters analysis
- Exposure to 5g NSA/SA optimization scenarios
- Scripting or automation experience for performance analysis
- Prior experience supporting Tier‑1 mobile operators
