Electrical Engineer-in-Training — Lighting & Power

Electrical Engineer-in-Training I (0 to 2 years’ experience) Must have EIT or PE certifications Full Time Purpose

To serve as a member of LTY’s electrical design team and to assist the team in production of high‑quality contract documents for the firm’s clients, ensuring that the process fulfills the LTY vision and mission.

• Knowledge of NFPA 70 and NFPA 72 electrical codes
• Working knowledge of lighting and lighting controls
• Working knowledge of fire alarm systems
• Working knowledge of power and power distribution systems, including emergency power
• Participate in client meetings as necessary and/or as assigned by supervisor
• Participate in career development training as assigned by supervisor or Human Resources

• B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (F.E.) examination
• Certified by the State of Texas as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT)
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects under strict deadlines
• Ability to work well on a team
• Exceptional written and verbal skills

• Knowledge of and experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of building codes
• Previous experience in a MEP consulting environment
• Experience in the design of lighting and lighting controls, fire alarms, power and power
