Responsibilities
  • Research, architect, model, simulate, test, certify, and improve cutting‑edge defense solutions.
  • Develop complex system architectures within contextual modeling platforms, guiding them from operational concept to detailed design, simulation, and test.
  • Take system‑level ownership of new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Collaborate closely with project engineers, external customers, and field‑based employees to integrate technology components into cohesive defense mechanisms.
  • Work alongside software and hardware design engineers to develop and field software, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
  • Bridge the gap between software and hardware and coordinate efforts among engineering disciplines.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze the context of deliverable solutions against constraints and available technology.
  • Lead system architecture, design, and development.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s of Science degree in Systems Engineering or related discipline and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience (higher education may substitute for experience).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Progressive experience working in multi‑disciplinary design and development teams.
  • Advanced understanding of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design; systems integration; technical risk identification and management strategies; and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles.
  • Knowledge of industry‑standard Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches and tools.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Software systems experience with working knowledge of Python and C++.
  • Experience in modeling and simulation controls system, SIL software integration.
  • Advanced experience with requirements management and system modelling tools such as DOORS, Rhapsody, No

    Magic, and MATLAB.
  • Experience or certification in INCOSE standards.
  • Background in the aerospace and defense industry.
  • Experience leading baseline definition and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use of high‑impact trade studies.
  • Thorough understanding of establishing and tracking key Technical Performance Measurements (TPM).
  • Experience integrating with existing or legacy aircraft platforms.
  • Experience working with agile methodologies and Atlassian tools.
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles and safety‑critical software standards.
