As an Electrical Engineer II, you will play a key role in the design, development, and testing of electrical/electronic systems for aerospace and defense applications. You will be responsible for designing and integrating electrical/electronic systems, validating electrical/electronic systems, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality products.

This posting will be open for application for a minimum of 5 days and may be extended based on business needs.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical/electronic systems.
  • In some applications, develop circuit card assemblies.
  • Implement electrical wiring design practices.
  • Conduct testing and validation of electronic systems and components.
  • Perform troubleshooting and debugging of electronic circuits.
  • Develop and document technical designs, test plans, and results.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure product requirements are met.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical insights.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in electrical engineering or a related role. Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Proficiency in electrical/electronic circuit design and testing techniques.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools.
  • Familiarity with working in multi‑disciplinary design and development teams.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time for business needs.
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with Computer‑Aided Design (CAD) software for electrical applications.
  • Understanding of aerospace and defense industry standards.
  • Exposure to simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis.
  • Exposure to FAA electrical system regulations, including Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS) requirements.
  • Exposure to electrical/electronic Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and System Safety Assessment (SSA) concepts.
  • Understanding of an Electrical Load Analysis (ELA).
  • Experience with circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis.
  • Knowledge of electrical component selection and manufacturing.
  • Understanding of electromagnetic effects (EME) including Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI).
  • Experience in digital or analog circuit design and schematic capture.
  • Understanding of printed circuit board layout process and tools.

  • Precision in designing, testing and troubleshooting electrical/electronic systems and components.
  • Ability to analyze complex electrical/electronic systems and evaluate performance data to identify problems and improve designs.
  • Apply systematic and logical problem‑solving techniques to diagnose and resolve electrical/electronic issues.
  • Clearly convey technical information, design specifications, and project updates to team members, stakeholders, and management.
  • Ability to understand technical documents, electrical/electronic schematics, and electronic instrument measurements.
  • Ability to handle small components, tools, and equipment with precision.
