Project Engineer II – Water Systems (Design + Execution)
Contract-to-Hire Opportunity
Join a growing engineering team focused on advanced water and treatment systems supporting critical infrastructure and industrial applications. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands‑on in both design and project execution, with visibility from concept through installation.
What You’ll Do- Create and maintain key deliverables (equipment specs, datasheets, layouts, BOMs)
- Support execution of engineering scope across system design, procurement, and installation
- Assist with equipment selection and vendor coordination
- Review drawings and technical submittals for compliance and accuracy
- Collaborate with internal teams (PMs, design, engineers) to keep projects on track
- Support fabrication, installation, and startup by troubleshooting technical issues
- Participate in layout and model coordination (BIM/clash detection)
- Maintain organized documentation and ensure alignment with engineering standards
- Experience with equipment sizing/specification (pumps, valves, pressure vessels, etc.)
- Exposure to water treatment systems (filtration, membranes, ion exchange, reclaim)
- Ability to work across design, vendors, and project execution
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or piping/skid design preferred
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to deliver high‑quality work independently
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- ~3+ years of relevant experience
- Water treatment or industrial process experience is a plus
- Contract‑to‑hire opportunity
- Up to 10% travel (project‑based)
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plano, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.46 - $43.00/hr.
