The Field Safety Coordinator will support both field and corporate Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives. This role will regularly travel to project sites throughout the United States to support field operations, conduct safety audits, provide coaching, perform investigations, and ensure compliance with company and client safety requirements.
In addition to field responsibilities, this role will support the development and administration of EHS programs, policies, procedures, documentation, and compliance initiatives.
The ideal candidate has experience supporting electrical, utility, industrial, construction, or field-service operations and is comfortable working in both field and office environments.
Key Responsibilities- Travel to active job sites throughout the United States to support field operations and safety initiatives
- Conduct field safety audits, inspections, observations, and site assessments
- Assist supervisors and field personnel with hazard assessments, and safe work planning
- Promote safe work practices and help drive continuous improvement in safety performance
- Provide field coaching and mentorship related to EHS expectations and procedures
- Support incident response activities and conduct incident and near‑miss investigations
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, client, and company safety requirements
- Assist with monitoring subcontractor and client safety compliance expectations
- Participate in customer safety meetings and project kickoff meetings as required
- Develop, update, and maintain company safety policies, procedures, forms, and safe work practices
- Support implementation and management of company EHS programs
- Support regulatory compliance initiatives and reporting requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a safety/EHS role within construction, utilities, industrial services, electrical contracting, or related industries
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and field safety practices
- Experience conducting investigations, audits, and field safety assessments
- Experience writing and updating EHS policies, procedures, and documentation
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Willingness and ability to travel throughout the United States
- Valid driver’s license required
- Experience supporting electrical testing, substation, utility, or power industry operations
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
- CHST, CSP, OHST, or other safety certifications considered an asset
- Experience with contractor compliance systems such as ISNetworld, Avetta, or PEC
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E and electrical safety practices considered an asset
