Job DescriptionTimmons Group is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Project Engineer III to join our Land Development team in our Plano, TX office. Experience with commercial, industrial and mission critical data center projects is preferred.
We assist our clients with zoning entitlements, civil site plan approvals, and construction administration support. Our project engineers will typically work in a team of 2-3 design engineers and a project manager to bring our client’s vision to life. The complexity and fast paced nature of our client’s needs creates a dynamic environment for our team members and fosters a culture of teamwork, diverse training opportunities, and builds a sense of ownership in the successful outcome of the project.
Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesof a successful candidate include but are not limited to:
- Designing site layouts, grading, utilities, and stormwater systems using Civil 3D and other modeling tools.
- Performing engineering calculations and solving real-world design challenges.
- Preparing technical specifications and construction documents.
- Conducting research and writing objective reports to support project completion.
- Assisting with cost estimates and construction planning.
- Supporting field inspections and data collection.
- Collaborating with clients, internal teams, and senior engineers to deliver high-quality results.
of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in land development civil engineering preferred.
- EIT certification preferred.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D required.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
