Senior Program Quality & Mission Assurance Engineer – Naval Power & Radar Sensor Systems
Location:
Plano, Texas. Onsite. Requires an active U.S. government issued Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance and U.S. citizenship.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Program Quality & Mission Assurance Engineer with our Naval Power – Radar Sensor Systems team.
What You Will Do- Interface with program quality teams, programs, customers, and supporting Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), supporting technical quality, financial performance, and compliance with Raytheon procedures and contractual requirements.
- Closely interact with external and internal customers and key partners to establish effective relationships.
- Manage quality of delivered products and services to customers, assess quality risks and opportunities, and resolve customer expectations related to Mission Assurance and Quality.
- Lead root cause analysis, facilitate corrective actions, and implement closed‑loop process controls to improve product/process predictability and capability.
- Generate new Cost of Quality (CoQ) projects to reduce program costs.
- Support implementation of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) as applicable.
- Serve as a program quality liaison across customer organizations (Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and United States Government (USG)), as well as relevant factories and engineering labs, acting as first responder for quality issues and concerns related to development and production products.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and partner with program leadership teams to define and implement quality improvement strategies.
- Ensure all development hardware (Engineering, Proof of Design, and Proof of Manufacturing) are appropriately documented in quality history records and aligned to quality and customer requirements per the program quality plan.
- Support AS9100 Internal, Corporate, and Certification Audits.
- Travel to Raytheon program facilities and customer locations.
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
- Working experience with Quality Management Systems, including ISO 9001, AS9100, and/or AS9102.
- Experience leading teams in failure analysis, root cause analysis, corrective and preventative actions.
- Experience interpreting technical drawings.
- Active and transferable final U.S. government issued Top Secret or TS/SCI security clearance required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Active Top Secret clearance.
- Experience in CORE processes or American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification.
- Experience in AS9145 (APQP & PPAP).
- Experience with Integrated Product Development System (IPDS)/gating, command media or processes (nonrecurring/recurring activities).
- Experience collaborating with program team members to develop practical solutions to complex problems.
- Experience with Industry and Government Quality and Mission Assurance requirements and standards.
- Experience in predictive and proactive measures, metrics assessments, and developing actions to improve performance or mitigate problems.
- Strong written and verbal presentation skills.

Salary range: 86,800 USD – 165,200 USD. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, parental leave, paid time off, holidays, and more. Eligibility for incentive programs depends on level and collective‑bargaining agreement.
