We are a small team accomplishing great things and are looking for experienced engineers to join our tight‑knit and growing team.
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mechanical Engineer with a strong focus on Automation to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement advanced product design, custom machines, and automation systems, ensuring seamless integration with our customers' existing processes and products. Depending on their specific assignment, the engineer may be a stand‑alone contributor who can lead large‑scale design build projects, provide automation support within a specific area, or provide validation support for automation projects.
The engineer is recognized as proficient in their field such as detailed mechanical design, control systems, plastics design, enclosures, instrumentation, process utilities, or qualification testing. The engineer meets customer needs in support of project business goals and collaborates with junior engineers.
- Design and Development:
Develop mechanical systems and components with an emphasis on automation, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and safety. - Project Support:
Work within a project team, maintain schedule adherence, execution, start‑up, commissioning, and owner interaction. - System Integration:
Identify and implement automation systems including mechanical design, electrical controls design, and possibly programming if experienced. - Collaboration:
Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and production staff, to integrate automation solutions. - Prototyping and Testing:
Create prototypes, conduct testing, and refine designs to meet project goals and specifications. - Project Management:
Lead and manage automation projects from concept to deployment, adhering to timelines and budgets. - Leadership:
Provide SME leadership in the designated area/field. Depending on assignment, this may cover product design, machine design, robotics integration, or equipment assembly and testing. - Documentation:
Generate and maintain technical documentation, including design schematics, process instructions, and operation manuals. - Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and resolve mechanical and automation‑related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on automation systems.
- Proven experience in designing, developing, and implementing automated machinery and processes.
- High proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD) and simulation tools.
- Knowledge of robotics, PLC programming, and control systems.
- Familiarity with industrial automation standards and safety regulations.
- Experience with material handling systems, actuators, sensors, and pneumatic systems.
- Machining experience is a plus.
