Job Title
Algorithm Systems Engineer II – Naval Airborne Systems (NAS) – Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities Center, Airborne Surveillance RF Department, Plano, TX.
Responsibilities- Specific duties may include performance analysis, algorithm development, algorithm analysis, trade study generation, statistical modeling, performance predictions, and data analysis for complex systems using Raytheon Engineering processes and practices.
- Related day-to-day duties include participating in peer reviews and resolving identified technical problems.
- The individual will interface with team leads and members, conduct or participate in customer and/or program presentations, and provide task progress status updates and work products to the team lead.
Must Have
- Master’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) obtained prior to start.
- Experience in any of the following areas:
Signal Processing Algorithms or Models, Image Processing Algorithms or Models, Detection Theory or Machine Learning. - Experience with UNIX/Linux and demonstrated computer programming skills in C or C++ and using MATLAB or Python for data analysis.
- U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance. DoD Clearance:
Top Secret. Active existing clearance required immediately.
Prefer
- Preferred majors:
Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or Math (STEM). - Strong mathematical modeling and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience developing signal processing algorithms for airborne surveillance applications, signal & image processing, digital communications, detection and estimation theory, or AI/ML and training techniques.
- Experience with real-time programming, software change management tools and processes.
- Current Department of War Secret or Top Secret Clearance.
Salary range: $68,900 – $131,100 USD. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Incentive compensation programs may be available depending on level and collective-bargaining agreement.
