Overview
The Advanced Radar Department at RTX has an immediate need for a Development Support Electrical Engineer II. The role collaborates with manufacturing, Program Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to proactively and efficiently resolve issues that may arise during production, testing, and integration. The position resides within the Cabin Production Design Support section supporting the Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS) program.
A U.S. government issued security clearance is required (DoD Top Secret; active clearance required after day
1). U.S. citizenship is required for eligibility for a security clearance.
- Troubleshoot hardware and issues to Circuit Card Assembly (CCA), server, switch, and/or component levels, including analog/digital/power circuitry and interfaces.
- Perform technical evaluations of hardware, categorize failures, and disposition failing hardware in a timely manner.
- Prioritize and execute improvement opportunities.
- Communicate status updates to program leadership.
- Partner in the development of test equipment and establish test requirements and procedures.
- Travel periodically to Raytheon facilities, suppliers, and/or customer sites to support in-person meetings and system integration efforts (up to 25%).
- Fault isolation and troubleshooting from system to WRA/LRU/Sub-system level.
- Prototyping and understanding leading-edge technology to support the program.
- Working in a dynamic environment and supporting hardware teams for formal design reviews.
- Gain experience with Digital Electronics applicable to Advanced Airborne Radars.
You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in roles such as design engineer, production support engineer, network engineer, or process engineer.
- Experience with analysis of technical data and with schematic drawings to assist in troubleshooting.
- Experience with standard engineering lab equipment.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance post-start is required; U.S. citizenship is required for clearance eligibility.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience with Linux, C, MATLAB, Python programming languages.
- Experience with fiber optic methodologies, standards, inspection criteria, equipment, and tools.
- Experience conducting failure investigations with recommendations to address systemic issues and prevent recurrence.
- Familiarity with hardware compliance of Raytheon Quality Notes, J-STD-001, and ISO
9001/AS9100 standards. - Experience with PRISM, SAP, and CMES.
- Strong communication skills including report writing and presentations.

Compensation and Benefits- Salary range: 68,900 USD – 131,100 USD.

- Potential eligibility for annual incentive programs depending on position level and bargaining status.
