Operations Quality Engineer

The Operations Quality Engineer will provide quality engineering support to Raytheon programs to ensure compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements.

What You Will Do

Use critical thinking resources and methods to improve product design; minimize inspection; resolve manufacturing defects/problems; complete such specialized quality functions as data preparation, analyses, and reporting.

Perform product and process audits for compliance to various standards and product requirements.

Coordinate resolution of nonconforming material with Engineering and Production Control teams.

Support Optical process improvements initiatives.

Support implementation of product Quality Control Plans

Lead and support root cause and corrective action activities

Act on all applicable material, product and equipment alerts to prevent impact to product reliability using the nonconformance and/or purge process

Manage dropped and damaged hardware processing and incident reporting.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project).

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a BS degree in STEM, Science, Technology, Engineering or Math an two (2) years of experience in optical fabrication, inspection and handling.
In lieu of a STEM degree, a minimum six years (6) years of related optical manufacturing experience.
Experience with ISO
9001 Quality Management systems.
Previous experience with First Article Inspections (AS9102)
Experience interpreting and inspecting to Optical technical procedures, specifications, standards, and related engineering and manufacturing documents.
Basis of Estimating experience – Proposal support and knowledge and budget estimating

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
