Advanced Radar Development Support Electrical Engineer II

Location:

465 Independence Pkwy, Independence, TX.

Security clearance:
Must be a U.S. citizen and must obtain an active Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot hardware down to component levels including analog/digital/power circuitry and interfaces.
  • Perform technical evaluations of hardware, categorizing failures and dispositioning failing hardware in a timely manner.
  • Prioritize and execute improvement opportunities.
  • Communicate status updates to program leadership.
  • Partner in the development of test equipment and establishment of test requirements and procedures.
  • Travel up to 25% to Raytheon facilities, suppliers, and customer sites for in‑person meetings and system integration efforts.
Learning & Development
  • Fault isolation and troubleshooting at the system, WRA/LRU/Sub‑system level.
  • Prototype and understand leading‑edge technology supporting the program.
  • Work in a dynamic environment and support hardware teams in mandatory design reviews.
  • Experience with digital electronics applicable to advanced airborne radars.
Must‑have Qualifications
  • Degree in STEM field.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience as design engineer, production support engineer, network engineer, or process engineer.
  • Experience analyzing technical data.
  • Experience reading schematic drawings for troubleshooting.
  • Experience with standard engineering lab equipment.
  • Must obtain and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance post‑start.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Linux, C, MATLAB, Python.
  • Experience with fiber‑optic methodologies, standards, inspection criteria, equipment, and tools.
  • Experience conducting failure investigations and recommending systemic improvements.
  • Knowledge of Raytheon compliance standards J‑STD‑001, ISO 9001/AS 9100.
  • Experience with PRISM, SAP, and CMES.
  • Strong communication skills including report writing and presentations.
Benefits & Compensation

Salary range: USD 68,900 – 131,100.
