Senior Electrical Engineer

We're searching for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our growing Aerospace Engineering team and play a key role in driving our vision forward. This person will be located at our Plano, TX headquarters.

What you'll do:

  • Lead diverse projects independently with limited supervision.
  • Coach and review work of junior professionals.
  • Support continuous improvement and automation activities.
  • Utilize engineering software and equipment for tasks.
  • Prepare technical drawings and specifications to meet standards and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers, customers, and stakeholders on projects.
  • Design, implement, and maintain electrical systems for various purposes.
  • Coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, and maintenance activities.
  • Compile data and write reports on engineering studies and projects.
  • Perform detailed calculations for standards and specifications.
  • Prepare material and equipment specifications for purchases.
  • Estimate labor, material, and construction costs for budgets.
  • Supervise and train project team members.
  • Conduct field surveys to identify and correct power system issues.
  • Investigate complaints to determine problems.
  • Oversee project production to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion.
  • Inspect installations for compliance with design and safety standards.
  • Plan and implement research methodologies for engineering projects.

What you'll bring to the team:

  • 6+ years knowledge of different aircraft types, such as single-engine, multi-engine, jets, helicopter, UAV, and UAS is required.
  • 6+ years of experience with LED RGB lighting is required to demonstrate proficiency in designing, implementing, and maintaining these systems. This includes knowledge of relevant software and troubleshooting various lighting systems.
  • Qualifications:
    • From an accredited engineering school; or related engineering degree with an electrical engineering emphasis required.
    • Master's degree preferred.
    • 7+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
    • Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
    • Precious Aerospace industry experience helpful.
