Job Summary We are seeking a LiDAR Engineer to develop and optimize LiDAR-based perception systems for autonomous vehicles. The ideal candidate will have expertise in point cloud processing, sensor fusion, and SLAM, with strong programming skills in C++ and Python. This role involves integrating LiDAR sensors into autonomous driving stacks and optimizing real-time perception algorithms.
Key Responsibilities Develop and implement LiDAR-based object detection, tracking, and classification algorithms Optimize point cloud processing techniques (segmentation, clustering, feature extraction) Integrate LiDAR with camera, radar, and IMU for sensor fusion Implement SLAM algorithms (LOAM, Cartographer, LeGO-LOAM) for localization Work with ROS2, Autoware, and Apollo for AV stack integration Deploy real-time perception models on GPU and embedded platforms Perform LiDAR sensor calibration, synchronization, and tuning Ensure compliance with ISO 26262, SOTIF, and ASPICE safety standards
Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Robotics 3+ years of experience in LiDAR perception for autonomous vehicles Proficiency in C++, Python, and CUDA Hands-on experience with PCL, Open3D, and Eigen for point cloud processing Strong background in sensor fusion and SLAM Experience with deep learning-based 3D perception models (Point Net, Point Pillars, CenterPoint)
