Our Airborne RF Electronics Electrical Engineering Department has a need for a Production Support Electrical Engineer Summer 2027 Intern. We are looking for candidates to collaborate and coordinate with our manufacturing facility, Program Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to proactively and efficiently resolve issues that may arise during production, testing, and integration. This position will reside within the Processing Production Design Support section that supports the Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS) program.
Location:
Plano, TX or McKinney, TX with the ability to commute between both sites.
What You Will Do:
- Ensure Special Test Equipment is always operable while improving test yield
- Perform technical evaluations of hardware with the ability to categorize failures and systematically disposition failing hardware in a timely manner
- Prioritize and execute improvement opportunities
- Communicate to program leadership status updates of hardware failures
- Ability to travel periodically to manufacturing facilities, suppliers, or customer sites to support production (up to 25%).
What You Will Learn:
- Gain experience with RF and Digital Electronics that apply to Advanced Airborne Radars.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
- Experience with standard engineering lab equipment.
- Experience with schematic drawings to assist in troubleshooting efforts
- Experience with fault isolation / troubleshooting.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Strong communication skills including report writing and presentations
- Conduct failure investigations and provide recommendations to address systemic issues and to prevent recurrence
- Experience with Manufacturing Engineering
- Knowledge of LabVIEW, LUA, C, MATLAB, Python programming languages
