First Point Group is seeking an experienced Senior RF Planning & Optimization Engineer to support large-scale LTE and 5G network programs within a global telecommunications environment. This role combines RF planning, network design, optimization, performance engineering, and technical leadership, making it an excellent opportunity for a seasoned RAN professional to contribute to next-generation wireless technologies.

As a Senior RF Planning & Optimization Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, planning, optimizing, and improving the performance of LTE and 5G radio networks. You will lead technical initiatives focused on coverage enhancement, capacity management, mobility optimization, and customer experience improvement. Working closely with operators, vendors, project teams, and field engineers, you will drive end-to-end network performance improvements through advanced engineering analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization techniques.

The role requires deep expertise in radio network planning, RF optimization, KPI analysis, and wireless performance management within multi-vendor environments. You will also provide technical leadership and mentoring while supporting critical deployment, modernization, and network expansion initiatives.

• Lead RF planning and optimization activities for LTE and 5G networks.
• Develop network design strategies to improve coverage, capacity, and quality of service.
• Analyze radio network KPIs and performance indicators to identify optimization opportunities.
• Conduct capacity planning and forecasting for existing and future network demands.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for RF performance issues.
• Optimize mobility management, handovers, throughput, accessibility, and retainability metrics.
• Support network rollout, modernization, and technology evolution projects.
• Analyze drive-test data and field performance measurements.
• Utilize industry-leading planning and optimization tools to improve network performance.
• Collaborate with vendor, operations, and engineering teams to implement optimization recommendations.
• Produce technical reports, performance assessments, and improvement plans.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams on complex RF challenges.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in RF Engineering, RAN Planning, or Network Optimization.
• Strong expertise in LTE and 5G .
• Extensive experience in RF planning, network design, optimization, and performance analysis.
• Proven technical leadership experience on large-scale telecommunications projects.
• Deep understanding of RF coverage planning, capacity management, and mobility optimization.
• Strong knowledge of radio network KPIs and performance management methodologies.
• Experience conducting drive-test analysis and field performance investigations.
• Hands-on expertise with Atoll planning tools.
• Experience with Planet RF planning solutions.
• Knowledge of TEMS drive-test and performance analysis tools.
• Experience using Actix optimization and post-processing platforms.
• Familiarity with Ericsson network management and optimization solutions.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Experience with advanced 5g optimization and feature implementation.
• Knowledge of Carrier Aggregation, Massive MIMO, VoLTE, and VoNR optimization.
• Experience working within multi-vendor RAN environments.
• Exposure to Open RAN architectures and next-generation network technologies.
• Experience supporting Tier-1 mobile operators.
• Advanced knowledge of automation and data-driven network optimization methodologies.
