Lab Technician
This role involves conducting electrical testing and evaluation of various products in compliance with U.S., Canadian, and other international product safety standards. The position also includes writing detailed reports and maintaining effective communication with team members.
Responsibilities- Perform electrical testing and evaluation on a variety of products.
- Write comprehensive reports based on testing results.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding testing procedures and results.
- Utilize hand tools and testing equipment for troubleshooting and evaluation.
- Develop and follow test plans for electrical and mechanical testing.
- Maintain document control related to testing and evaluation processes.
- Experience in appliance and/or electronics.
- Electro-mechanical aptitude.
- Experience with hand tools and testing/troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of electrical test equipment and procedures.
Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with HVAC systems and electronics.
- Experience in mechanical testing and appliance technology.
The position is based in a testing lab and chamber environment. The lab technician will report to a project engineer and receive daily guidance from them, while ultimately reporting under the functional safety team. The role offers the opportunity to work with innovative technology and resources as part of a growing team focused on bringing new products to market.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plano, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
