Accountant, Financial Reporting, Financial Analyst

Summary:

The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, for Beal Financial Corporation (BFC) and ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and company policies.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Prepare journal entries, accruals and adjustments
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare Holdco cash forecasts
• Support preparation of quarterly Holding Company ratios for Trups counter parties
• Assist with quarterly board report preparation
• Prepare financial statements and internal management reports
• Reconcile bank accounts
• Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Serve as backup for daily derivative accounting processes
• Accounting for Trust Preferred Securities
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
• Assist with internal and external audits
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Computer Skills, Certifications, Etc.):

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• CPA or CPA-eligible preferred but not required
