Join Oaklin Lane as a Controller and play a critical role in building the financial backbone of a rapidly scaling pediatric therapy organization. Oaklin Lane is a modern pediatric therapy company focused on expanding access to high-quality speech, occupational, and physical therapy through disciplined operations and thoughtful growth.

This role exists to ensure our financial operations are accurate, timely, and scalable as we grow. As our Controller, you will own the core accounting function and internal controls that keep the business financially sound. This is not a passive "close the books" role. You'll partner closely with leadership to ensure clean reporting, strong cash discipline, and operational visibility, while proactively improving systems and processes as we scale.

This is a hybrid role based in Plano, Texas. Candidates are expected to work in-office one day per week, as well as attend quarterly company meetings at the Plano office.

• Own the monthly close process, ensuring accurate, timely financial statements
• Maintain the general ledger, chart of accounts, and accounting policies as the business scales
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, and expense management
• Ensure proper revenue recognition and clean reporting across multiple clinics and service lines
• Monitor cash flow and working capital, flagging risks or unusual activity early
• Build and enforce strong internal controls and scalable financial processes
• Partner with leadership to produce clear financial reporting packages, including variance analysis and trends
• Manage relationships with external partners including CPA firm, tax advisors, payroll provider, and banking partners
• Support annual tax filings, audits, and compliance requirements
• Improve finance systems and workflows to reduce manual work and increase accuracy as we scale

• 5+ years of accounting experience, including experience owning close and financial reporting
• Prior Controller or Assistant Controller experience strongly preferred (multi-site or healthcare services a plus)
• Strong understanding of GAAP and best practices for internal controls
• Experience managing cash, working capital, and financial operational discipline
• Ability to communicate financial results clearly to non-finance leaders
• Systems-oriented thinker who values clean, scalable processes
• High attention to detail and strong accountability
• Professional judgment and confidence to raise concerns proactively
