Treasury Consultant
Immediate need for a Treasury Consultant for a position in the Banking & Financial Industry. This is a 12+ month’s contract opportunity with long‑term potential located in Plano, TX. Please review the job description below:
Key Responsibilities / Key Requirements and TechnologyExperience:
- Minimum of 6‑8+ years of relevant financial services experience;
Audit or Financial Consulting, Corporate/Bank Risk Management or Controllership - Demonstrated ability to effectively manage governance and internal control framework, projects and group.
- Exposure to financial products/instruments, valuation/trading and/or financial statement reporting/disclosure standards related to Fair Value.
- Familiarity with valuing different types of financial instruments and derivatives.
- Exposure to complex financial and/or valuations system/modeling for large/complex debt/derivative portfolio, a plus.
- Experience working with derivative and asset valuation models, including ABS and other discounted cash flow based models.
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders (counter parties, vendors, auditors, etc.).
- Education:
Bachelor's degree Accounting, Finance or equivalent - CPA preferred: CAIA or alternate designation a plus
- Post Graduate degree (MBA, M.S Finance or Accounting) preferred
- If no CPA is held, the candidate should have a post‑graduate certificate with a strong concentration in accounting and controls
- Special Skills/Knowledge:
Experience implementing and supporting the SoX controls framework at a corporate treasury or financial institution. - Experience with the valuation of highly structured debt and derivative instruments (using tools such as WSS, Numerix, Bloomberg valuations, Fincad etc.).
- Knowledge of valuation tools and methodologies available in the market for debt/derivatives and asset valuations. Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Big 4 audit experience and/or derivatives accounting experience
- Technical Requirements:
- MS Office (Advanced Excel pivot tables, v‑lookups, etc.)
- Treasury Management System experience:
Wallstreet Suite or similar highly preferred - Knowledge of SQL, VBA, .net a plus
