The Revenue Recognition Specialist/Analyst is responsible for ensuring proper revenue recognition in accordance with policy and revenue recognition accounting standards and for ensuring the accuracy of revenue recognition in accounting systems. This is a remote role; however, we strongly prefer candidates based in or near the Dallas, TX area.

- Manages, controls and tracks appropriately revenue recognition transactional activity
- Assist in month-end closing of the Accounts Receivable module and weekly/monthly reconciliations
- Maintain and update accurate, complete tracking of revenue transaction queues
- Analyzes information to determine validity of revenue recognition
- Review client contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with policy and Revenue Recognition Accounting Standards
- Investigate and diagnose potential errors and duplicate revenue scenarios
- Assist in audit review, both financial and internal control related
- Review and respond to Accounts Receivable inquiries
- Prepare and distribute weekly, monthly, and annual ad hoc reporting
- Maintains confidentiality of client and corporate information
- Provide support to ad hoc projects as required
- Strong analytical skills, a can-do attitude with good organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate clearly & concisely; presents numerical data effectively
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; ability to work successfully under tight deadlines
- Excellent people skills to collaborate with individuals across the organization and ability to discuss feedback in both technical and user-friendly language
- Basic account reconciliation skills
- Strong time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize

- Understand and use the internal technologies required for daily functions

- Willingness to work overtime as required during peak closing periods and audit time
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; and two to five years of related experience.
Computer SkillsIntermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe. Experience using Workday Financial System is a plus.
Certificates & LicensesValid driver's license required.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThe position requires limited supervisory responsibilities, including training employees, assigning work, and checking work for accuracy and completeness.
Work EnvironmentStandard indoor working environment. Hybrid remote eligible; periodic days in office required. Long periods of sitting while working at computer with occasional long periods of standing. Position requires regular interaction with employees at all levels of the firm. Independent travel required: none.
