As a Middle Market Credit Risk Manager, Vice President in Commercial & Specialized Industries Credit Risk Center, you will be at the heart of our cross‑functional team, delivering credit solutions to a diverse range of industries. You will assess and manage risks, balance sales and credit quality goals, and meet customer deadlines. You will partner with Bankers in the Market, lead risk analysis, mentor less experienced team members, and guide them in risk grading, credit request analysis, and documentation.
You will help implement policies and procedures to achieve the Risk Organization’s mission and support Commercial Banking clients with revenues generally between $20 million and $500 million.
- Aid team members in the analysis and structuring of new transactions and manage their assigned credit portfolio.
- Utilize credit analysis skills to assess risks, balance risk/reward, manage renewals, amendments and new transactions, and maintain acceptable credit reporting metrics.
- Form well‑thought‑out, independent views, voice opinions clearly, and defend positions with partners and senior leadership.
- Work proactively, diplomatically with internal contacts to keep transactions moving.
- Act with a sense of urgency to meet internal and client deadlines.
- Partner effectively to develop internal relationships as the “go‑to” person for credit process for all products.
- Provide leadership, mentor, embrace change and participate in projects or improvement exercises.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills internally and externally to solve problems.
- BA/BS/BBA degree required.
- Completion of a major corporate or commercial bank credit training program (or equivalent experience) and thorough understanding of bank credit policies and procedures.
- At least 8 years of experience in commercial banking/lending with extensive credit analysis.
- Significant accounting and finance knowledge.
- Strong working knowledge of credit agreements and other loan documentation.
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills; able to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
- Proven ability to collaborate and build strong partnerships.
- Intellectual curiosity with proven ability to learn quickly.
- High initiative, self‑direction, and ability to work well under pressure.
