Mortgage Secondary Market Trader

** Summary** :

Key member of the Mortgage Secondary Marketing team within First Horizon Bank and will be responsible for the day-to-day activities related to the hedging of the mortgage secondary pipeline.

** Essential Duties and Responsibilities** :

- Manages and analyzes the mortgage secondary pipeline and executes hedging and pool trading transactions

- Manages and monitors hedge performance by reviewing reports to mitigate risk while providing accurate data

- Utilizes advanced analytic and modeling skills to support secondary marketing functions around loan pricing and fallout

- Assist with mortgage valuation analytics, report development, testing and feedback

- Complies with bank policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, and investor guidelines

- Establishes and maintains secondary market investor and dealer relationships

- Performs all other duties as assigned

** Qualifications** :

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Additionally, the qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required in this position:

+ Bachelor (4-year college) degree and 5+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

+ Demonstrated experience with trading and hedging techniques.

+ Advanced understanding and application of risk management and operational risk.

+ Advanced modeling, spreadsheet, and database skills.

+ High attention to detail and excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.
