Sr. Analyst – Asset Management

The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain accounting records pertaining to fixed assets, ensuring compliance with GAAP and adherence to the fixed asset capitalization policy.
Responsibilities- Asset data maintenance (releases, master data accuracy, depreciation, disposals, SAP settlements, etc.) and ensure financial close accuracy (journal entries, reconciliations, financial reporting, flux commentary to upper management for material variances).
- Reporting to the Asset Management Manager to ensure accurate record‑keeping and compliance.
- Managing the acquisition, tracking, depreciation, and disposal of assets; conducting regular audits and reconciliations; collaborating with finance, procurement, and operations teams.
- Supporting the organization’s fixed asset accounting processes and procedures.
- Maintaining and updating the fixed asset register.
- Supporting various quarterly/annual asset confirmation activities.
- Recording and monitoring asset acquisitions, transfers, and disposals.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.
- Performing regular asset valuations and depreciation calculations.
- Reviewing and analyzing fixed asset‑related financial statements and reports.
- Preparing and presenting detailed fixed asset reports for management and stakeholders.
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities related to fixed assets.
- Collaborating with departments to plan and budget for capital expenditures.
- Coordinating with IT and administrative staff to ensure proper tagging and tracking of fixed assets.
- Handling internal and external audit requests pertaining to fixed assets.
- Investigating and resolving any discrepancies or issues related to fixed asset management.
- Developing and implementing process improvements for fixed asset management systems.
- Ensuring timely and accurate recording of asset acquisition, capitalization, and depreciation.
- Administering and managing lease accounting and leased asset records.
- Maintaining documentation and records related to fixed asset management policies and procedures.
- BS/BA in accounting.
- 3‑10 years of work experience in accounting.
- CPA and public accounting experience.
- Experience with SAP ERP.
- 3+ years of experience with fixed assets and/or lease accounting.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and completeness.
- Motivated and dependable self‑started.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid time‑management skills, ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and function independently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Process improvement experience.
- Role is an individual contributor; managerial or leadership experience not required.
- Finance‑based assets experience is not considered.
- Understanding of the automobile industry.
- Big 4 public accounting experience.
2 rounds – first round virtual on MS Teams, second round in person.
Location & Schedule100% onsite, Monday‑Friday in Plano, TX.
