Sr. Ananlyst - Asset Management

An International company located in Plano, TX, is seeking a Sr. Analyst – Asset Management for a 12+ month contract role. This position is onsite Monday through Friday.

• Maintain accounting records for fixed assets, ensuring compliance with GAAP and the fixed asset capitalization policy.
• Perform asset data maintenance including releases, master data accuracy, depreciation, disposals, and SAP settlements.
• Assist with financial close accuracy through journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of fixed asset accounts.
• Collaborate with finance, procurement, and operations teams.
• Support quarterly and annual asset confirmation activities.
• Record and monitor asset acquisitions, transfers, and disposals.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.
• Perform asset valuations and depreciation calculations.
• Review and analyze fixed asset-related financial statements and reports.
• Prepare and present detailed fixed asset reports for management and stakeholders.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to fixed assets and collaborate with departments to plan capital expenditures.
• Coordinate with IT and administrative staff to ensure proper tagging and tracking of fixed assets.
• Handle internal and external audit requests pertaining to fixed assets.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues related to fixed asset management.
• Develop and implement process improvements for fixed asset management systems.
• Ensure timely and accurate recording of asset acquisition, capitalization, and depreciation.
• Administer and manage lease accounting and leased asset records.
• Maintain documentation and records related to fixed asset management policies and procedures.

• BS/BA in Accounting.
• 3-10 years of experience in accounting.
• CPA certification and public accounting experience.
• Experience with SAP ERP system.
• 3+ years of experience with fixed assets and/or lease accounting.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and completeness.
• Motivated, dependable, self-started.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid time management skills, ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and function independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Understanding of the automobile industry.
• Big 4 public accounting experience.
