An International company located in Plano, TX, is seeking a Sr. Analyst – Asset Management for a 12+ month contract role. This position is onsite Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities- Maintain accounting records for fixed assets, ensuring compliance with GAAP and the fixed asset capitalization policy.
- Perform asset data maintenance including releases, master data accuracy, depreciation, disposals, and SAP settlements.
- Assist with financial close accuracy through journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of fixed asset accounts.
- Collaborate with finance, procurement, and operations teams.
- Support quarterly and annual asset confirmation activities.
- Record and monitor asset acquisitions, transfers, and disposals.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.
- Perform asset valuations and depreciation calculations.
- Review and analyze fixed asset-related financial statements and reports.
- Prepare and present detailed fixed asset reports for management and stakeholders.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to fixed assets and collaborate with departments to plan capital expenditures.
- Coordinate with IT and administrative staff to ensure proper tagging and tracking of fixed assets.
- Handle internal and external audit requests pertaining to fixed assets.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues related to fixed asset management.
- Develop and implement process improvements for fixed asset management systems.
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of asset acquisition, capitalization, and depreciation.
- Administer and manage lease accounting and leased asset records.
- Maintain documentation and records related to fixed asset management policies and procedures.
- BS/BA in Accounting.
- 3-10 years of experience in accounting.
- CPA certification and public accounting experience.
- Experience with SAP ERP system.
- 3+ years of experience with fixed assets and/or lease accounting.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and completeness.
- Motivated, dependable, self-started.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid time management skills, ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and function independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of the automobile industry.
- Big 4 public accounting experience.
