Financial Analyst

Location:

Plano, TX (Onsite) Duration: 12 Months Pay Rate: $55/hr

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst with strong accounting and reconciliation experience to support financial reporting, promotional claims reconciliation, and payment analytics. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with SAP R/3, advanced Excel capabilities, and the ability to analyze financial data to provide actionable business insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze actual operating results, interpret financial data, and present findings to management.
  • Respond to budget and financial reporting requests from stakeholders.
  • Reconcile promotional claims and POS (Point of Sale) activity.
  • Investigate and resolve payment reconciliation discrepancies arising from audits, exception reports, or remittance changes.
  • Generate reports to validate payments and resolve financial variances.
  • Reconcile carrier commissions against in-store reporting to ensure accurate and timely payments.
  • Deliver financial reporting, analytics, and spending insights to business stakeholders.
  • Build spreadsheets, reports, charts, and financial models to support decision‑making.
  • Analyze business and financial trends to forecast revenues, expenses, and operational performance.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5 to 7 years of financial analysis and/or accounting experience.
  • Strong accounting and reconciliation background.
  • Hands‑on experience with SAP R/3 or similar ERP systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, reporting, reconciliations).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in retail operations or retail finance.
  • Experience with POS reconciliation and promotional claims analysis.
  • Strong PowerPoint and reporting presentation skills.
