Leads or supports accounting operations, ensures accurate financial reporting, and supports compliance and strategic planning. Manages or supports budgeting processes, analyzes resource allocation, and supports financial planning and reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities (Primary/Essential)
  • Responsible for all aspects of the month-end close, including balancing general ledger accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Review and analyze financial reports for accuracy.
  • Assist and/or prepare monthly management report and accompanying schedules, worksheets, and narratives, including “budget vs actual” variance reports. Assist and/or provide follow-up and documentation of significant variances.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate filing of sales and use tax returns. Inclusive of maintenance of part assignments, tax codes in Avalara, exception certificates, payments and related account reconciliations
  • Assist with internal and external audits by completing requested materials. Handle parts of the audit as requested.
  • Coordinate and provide consultation on the budget schedule and process, budget management structure and assist in the development and management of the budget in accordance with the company budget policy; recommend and implement ongoing improvements.
  • Tracking, updating and managing of ongoing monthly expenses and capital projects. Inclusive of updates by line item and incorporating addition as needed.
  • Manages annual Secretary of State filings to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinates annual insurance renewal processes, including applications, certificates of liability, expense budgeting, associated journal entries to expense, and reconciliations.
  • Responsible for calculating monthly payroll and banking activities by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies
  • Prepares and distributes daily sales reporting.
  • Oversees related‑party invoicing and related commissions calculations.
Knowledge and Skills
  • 4‑year accounting degree preferred, or equivalent education and experience.
  • 2 years of experience with Medical Billing preferred.
  • 4 to 6 years of experience in accounting/finance required.
  • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and knowledge of Statutory accounting principles.
  • Strong analytical and accounting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and to take on tasks with high levels of difficulty.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact successfully with all levels of employees in the organization.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with Quick Books, MS Word, Excel (including Pivot tables and XLookups), MS Access, Vena, Qlik, PowerBI, and RPA, with the ability to utilize them for meaningful insights to business performance.
Physical Requirements
  • General office keyboarding and PC use.
  • Ability to travel if the business need arises. (domestic and international)
