Associate Financial Planner / Associate Advisor - CFP Track
An established Dallas/Frisco-area wealth management firm is hiring an Associate Financial Planner / Associate Advisor for an August start. This role is designed for someone who wants a long-term career in financial planning and advisory work. CFP certification is preferred, but we are also open to candidates who are CFP track, have completed CFP coursework, have passed the CFP exam, or have strong financial planning/client service experience.
The ideal candidate is trustworthy, detail-oriented, highly teachable, professional with clients, and excited to grow inside a relationship-driven advisory firm.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing for client meetings
- Gathering and organizing client financial information
- Supporting financial plan development and retirement planning workflows
- Drafting planning notes and client follow-up items
- Helping document action steps after client meetings
- Coordinating client service requests
- Supporting onboarding and review meeting preparation
- Sitting in on client meetings as appropriate
- Learning the firm’s planning philosophy, client service process, and advisory workflow
Preferred qualifications:
- CFP certification or CFPtrack preferred
- Degree in financial planning, finance, accounting, economics, or related field
- Experience in wealth management, financial planning, client service, or advisory operations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Professional judgment with confidential client information
- Interest in growing into a larger planning/advisory role over time
