Zillow is hiring a Mortgage Loan Officer to help customers finance their homes through a seamless, digital-first experience. You will guide borrowers from application to closing, analyze credit and income, recommend loan products, and ensure compliance with lending regulations. Partner closely with real estate teams, use Zillow's data and tools to optimize approvals, and maintain accurate documentation. You'll manage a pipeline, meet production goals, and deliver clear, empathetic communication while contributing feedback to improve lending products and workflows.
Responsibilities
- Guide borrowers through the mortgage application, approval, and closing process
- Analyze borrower credit, income, assets, and collateral to determine loan eligibility
- Recommend appropriate loan products aligned with customer needs and risk profile
- Ensure all loan files meet regulatory, investor, and company compliance standards
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in loan origination systems and CRM tools
- Manage and prioritize an active loan pipeline to meet production and service goals
- Collaborate with real estate agents and internal Zillow teams to streamline the customer experience
- Communicate clearly with customers on status, conditions, and next steps
- Use data and analytics to optimize approvals, pricing options, and conversion rates
- Provide feedback to improve lending products, workflows, and customer tools
Required Skills
- Mortgage loan origination

- Knowledge of FHA, VA, conventional, and jumbo products
- Regulatory and compliance knowledge (TRID, RESPA, TILA)
- Loan origination systems (LOS) proficiency
