As a Tax Analyst, you'll gain hands‑on experience supporting a diverse portfolio of businesses and industries while developing foundational tax, accounting, and analytical skills. You'll work alongside experienced tax professionals to solve complex business challenges, learn how tax positions impact business decisions, and contribute to meaningful projects from day one.
This role is based in Wichita, KS and is designed for students graduating in December 2026 or May 2027.
Our TeamThe Koch tax organization is comprised of more than 370 professionals across a variety of tax disciplines, including domestic tax, international tax, state and local tax, transfer pricing, mergers and acquisitions, tax technology, and tax accounting.
Our team partners closely with business leaders across Koch companies to understand how businesses create value and how tax strategy supports those outcomes. What You Will Do- Prepare federal, state, and local tax filings to support compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations
- Assist with tax accounting and reporting activities, including quarterly and annual tax calculations
- Analyze financial and operational data to support tax positions and business decision-making
- Collaborate with accounting, finance, and business teams across Koch companies to understand business transactions and their tax implications
- Research tax issues and assist in evaluating the impact of new tax laws and regulations
- Develop and maintain work papers, documentation, and supporting analyses
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, leverage technology, and increase efficiency within the tax organization
- Manage multiple projects and priorities while communicating progress and results to team members and supervisors
- Participate in training and development opportunities to build technical tax, business, and leadership capabilities
- Currently enrolled in an Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related business degree program and expected to graduate in December 2026 or May 2027
- Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
- Pursuing or interested in a career in taxation, accounting, or finance
- Internship, co-op, or other relevant experience in accounting, finance, tax, or audit
- Coursework in taxation, accounting, finance, or business analytics
- Demonstrated leadership and initiative through academic, professional, or extracurricular experiences
- An analytical mindset and eagerness to learn, solve complex problems, and create value
- Curiosity about emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, and how they can be applied to improve decision-making, increase efficiency, and create value
