Overview of the Position By statute, probation and pretrial services officers serve in a judiciary law enforcement position and assist in the administration of justice and promote community safety, gather information, supervise offenders/defendants, interact with collateral agencies, prepare reports, conduct investigations, and present recommendations to the court.
The U.S. Probation Office for the Eastern District of Texas has an immediate opening for a full-time U.S. Probation Officer in our Plano office. The incumbent is hired by the Chief Probation Officer and works directly for the U.S. Probation Office. This position is in Plano, Texas. This position offers promotion potential up to CL-28 without further competition.
