Join Oaklin Lane as a Patient Guide in our Stewardship Pathway and play a critical role in protecting the financial health of our clinics while ensuring families experience a clear, reliable billing process. Oaklin Lane is a modern pediatric therapy organization focused on expanding access to high-quality speech, occupational, and physical therapy. We are building clinics designed around operational clarity, family experience, and strong clinical outcomes.
This is a hybrid role requiring one in‑office day per week at our Plano, Texas office, with the remainder of work performed remotely. Our stewardship team ensures services are billed accurately, claims move smoothly, and families receive clear communication when billing questions come up. As a Patient Guide in Billing & Claims, you will support the revenue cycle from end to end — helping ensure our clinicians' work gets paid for correctly and on time.
This role is ideal for someone who is organized, persistent, and comfortable working through RCM and EMR systems, payer portals, and detailed billing processes.

9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Responsibilities- Submit and manage insurance claims for outpatient speech, occupational, and physical therapy services
- Monitor claim status, identify denials or delays, and follow up to resolution
- Review EOBs and remittance advice to ensure accurate payment posting and reconciliation
- Investigate underpayments, denials, and billing discrepancies; submit corrections and appeals as needed
- Support accurate patient billing, including statements, payment plans, and family billing questions
- Track authorizations and visit limits in partnership with the Access and clinical teams to prevent billing issues
- Maintain clean, accurate records in the EMR and billing systems (claims status, notes, documentation needs)
- Coordinate with payers, families, and internal teams to resolve billing issues quickly and professionally
- Identify repeat issues (ex: common denial reasons) and recommend process improvements to reduce future errors
- Support month‑end cleanup tasks as needed (open claims, missing documentation, aging review)
- Experience in medical billing, claims follow‑up, revenue cycle, or insurance coordination preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes consistently
- Comfortable communicating with insurance companies and explaining billing clearly to families
- Persistent, organized follow‑through (ability to work an issue until it is resolved)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and time‑sensitive tasks simultaneously
- Comfortable using EMR systems, payer portals, spreadsheets, and basic office software
- Professional, calm, and solutions‑oriented communication style
