About This Role

The Pharmacy Technician plays an essential role in maintaining pharmacy operations and ensuring exceptional patient service. This position is central to delivering accurate, compliant, and compassionate pharmaceutical support within a fast-paced retail and compounding environment.

Working closely with licensed pharmacists, this role focuses on precision in prescription processing, efficiency in inventory control, and professionalism in patient engagement. The technician serves as a key liaison between patients, prescribers, and the pharmacy team contributing directly to the operational excellence and clinical integrity of Thesis Pharmacy.

We specialize in delivering customized healthcare solutions that include compounded prescriptions, specialty medications, nutritional supplements, and wellness support. Key Job Functions

  • Accurately process prescriptions, including verification, data entry, and insurance billing.
  • Provide friendly, informed, and professional assistance to patients, prescribers, and vendors.
  • Manage prescription refills, prior authorizations, and outbound communication to healthcare providers.
  • Support over the counter (OTC) and nutritional product sales with expert knowledge and customer care.
  • Assist in compounding preparation and ensuring adherence to safety and quality control standards.
  • Track and maintain pharmaceutical inventory to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations, HIPAA, and internal policy standards.
  • Operate effectively in a dynamic environment while prioritizing multiple tasks with precision.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with pharmacists and administrative staff to optimize workflow and patient satisfaction.
  • Contribute to a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Active Pharmacy Technician Certification (Texas State Board of Pharmacy)
  • Proficiency in prescription management systems and digital documentation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient experience.
  • Ability to multitask and operate efficiently in a regulated, high-volume setting.
  • Previous experience in retail, compounding, or specialty pharmacy preferred.

Work Schedule

  • Monday–Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
  • Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (rotating every other Saturday)
  • Rotating shifts: 9:00 a.m. – 6:45 p.m.
