Night shifts; 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
Job Type: On-Site
PRN Flat Rate: $23.29 per hour
Additional Information: The PRN will be expected to work four shifts per month

SummaryThe incumbent develops and implements patient treatment plans, leads therapeutic activities, and ensures a safe therapeutic environment in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities- Interact therapeutically with patients during milieu and room‑based activities
- Provide direct patient care, including activities of daily living and personal care
- Assist RNs with vital sign collection, data, and specimens as appropriate
- Report changes in patient status and concerns to the charge nurse and/or physician
- Escort patients to off‑unit procedures and appointments as needed
- Provide orientation and education to patients and families about program processes
- Offer emotional support while maintaining professional boundaries
- Assist in implementing treatment plans for all patients, focusing on assigned patients
- Facilitate learning activities in the classroom
- Implement individual patient behavioral programs under team direction
- Contribute to interdisciplinary treatment planning by communicating observations and suggesting interventions
- Conduct milieu‑based groups using unit‑specific curriculum
- Monitor and report patient response to treatment verbally and in the EHR
- Intervene and assist in crisis situations
- Use available resources to learn and improve patient care knowledge and skills
- Participate in evaluation of self and peers
- Accept instruction and guidance from preceptor and other clinically advanced personnel
- Advance professional growth by completing educational activities addressing specific competencies
- Accept assignments to various units and departments as census dictates
- Participate in staff meetings and Quality Improvement initiatives
- Maintain strict patient and family confidentiality
- Perform other duties and special projects as needed and as training allows
How You’ll Be Successful:
- Experience in child and adolescent therapy (preferred)
- Experience in an inpatient hospital setting (highly preferred)
- Experience in a PCP program (preferred)
- Four‑year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
- Bachelor's degree in child psychology, psychology, or related field (highly preferred)
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers as required by CP 1.20 Life Support Course Requirements from the American Heart Association (required upon hire)
- Pediatric Yoga Instructor Certification if performing yoga therapy upon hire (required)
- Leverages professional discipline to apply knowledge and broaden expertise
- Demonstrates understanding of key business drivers
- Provides informal guidance to new team members (no supervisory responsibilities)
- Solves problems in straightforward situations, using professional judgment
- Impacts quality of own work and team work within guidelines and policies
- Receives moderate guidance and direction
- Explains complex information clearly to others
