Position: Surgical Assistant for Mohs/Dermatology Office

GROWING AGAIN and looking for friendly, dynamic, compassionate team‑members to join our non‑corporate private practice.

We are a fast‑paced, busy general, surgical and cosmetic Dermatology/Mohs/Plastic Surgery practice in Prosper, Plano and McKinney. We are looking for 2 Certified/Registered surgical assistants with at least 2 years experience in this or related field for full time and part time positions.

Surgical assistants must be able to perform surgical closings/suturing including simple, layered, intermediate, complex and approximation in addition to performing other medical assisting duties.

Candidates must be dependable, punctual, detail‑oriented professionals who are self‑starters and who enjoy and thrive in fast‑paced environments. Prefer experience in Dermatology, MOHs, General or Plastic Surgery, Ob‑Gynecology or Cardiology. Bilingual a plus. We use Mod Med EMA for our EMR and PMS.

Schedule:

Monday to Thursday 7:45‑5

Friday morning 8‑12

Must be available to work at either location on any day

Qualifications
  • Trained in surgical closings and suturing of all types including flaps and grafts
  • Proficient in medical administrative support and patient care
  • Skilled in scribing, assisting, and using EMA EHR systems
  • Experience in dermatology, mohs and plastic surgery settings
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and patient intake processes
  • Ability to work in a surgical tech role with knowledge of surgery procedures
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills when interacting with patients and staff
  • Experience with Accutane & biologic medications
  • Experience with PDT
  • Bilingual proficiency is a plus for effective patient communication
