Description:

MCP Rehabilitation Therapy Services consist of three departments:
Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy.
All three departments serve an acute care hospital with 600 beds, including trauma, neuroscience, ICUs, ECMO, burn, oncology, orthopedics, and spine floors.
There is also an inpatient rehabilitation unit with 40 beds.
The team includes 27 full-time physical therapists, 19 full-time occupational therapists, and 9 full-time speech therapists.
The staff works day shifts only, including a director, manager, and supervisors for each therapy specialty.
Patient ratios will vary.
The equipment utilized includes walking equipment, bikes, bars, and treadmills for therapy.
The electronic medical record system used is Meditech.
There is no on-call requirement or floating requirement.
Therapists must work two weekend shifts per month on a rotating basis.
Candidates must have one year of experience in acute care hospitals and/or inpatient rehabilitation settings.
Speech therapists must have at least two years of full-time acute care hospital experience or long-term acute care experience.
Candidates should be flexible, open-minded, and willing to be accountable.
A good sense of humor is valued in this setting.
